House Plan Design Styles

House plan design styles refers to the design categories that have been used historically to describe the aesthetics of a structure. This is what is meant when a home is described as a Craftsman or Modern house. While some of the terms we use do specially refer to the style elements of a home. Others are more reflective of the use or location of a home. Such as a Coastal, Mountain, or Vacation home plans.

Still other home plan design styles are based more on the attributes of the structure and less so on the aesthetics. Examples of these would be One-Story, Courtyard, Drive-Under, and even Luxury home designs. We include these home plans style collections as an aid to our visitors and not as strict architectural definitions.
